The directorship of the Institute of Islamic Education Research (IIER) of the Islamic University (EB) has been changed. Professor of Da'wah and Islamic Studies Department has been appointed as the new director. Iqbal Hossain. This information was informed in the notification signed by HM Ali Hasan, acting registrar of the university on Wednesday (October 2). He will serve in this position for the next 3 years.
According to the notification source, the newly appointed director of IIER, Professor Dr. Computer Science and Engineering Department. Farukuzzaman Khan was relieved from the post of director following the VC's verbal discussion with him. Da'wah and Islamic Studies Department professor Dr. Iqbal Hoshain has been appointed as Director.
The newly appointed director. Iqbal said, the aims and objectives with which IIER was established as an Islamic university, the dictatorial government has derailed this research center. I will fulfill the responsibility given to me by the university authorities, keeping the goal of the establishment in mind. Besides, Islamic research will be modernized in this institute. Where the research of students will be focused by organizing contemporary international meetings, seminars. And from here the new door of Islamic research will be opened.
