The students and parents have demanded the resignation and trial of Hosne Ara Begum, principal of Tangail Pre-Cadet School, alleging various irregularities and corruption. Meanwhile, when the parents went to form a human chain, they also complained that the school principal's husband and his people blocked them. The incident took place in front of Pre-Cadet School located on District Sadar Road in the city on Sunday (September 1) morning.

The parents complain that for a long time the schoolgirls wearing hijab are facing various obstacles. If the female students want to enter wearing hijab, they are blocked at the gate. Moreover, some school teachers are constantly forbidding female students to wear hijab. Recently, teachers had an argument with a parent over teaching hijab. After this matter was known, there was a reaction among the parents. They protested in front of the school. Later, when they went to form a human chain with banners in front of Tangail Press Club, Principal Hosne Ara Begum's husband Harun Or Rashid with his men blocked them. At this time they tried to snatch the banner. The parents then surrounded the principal's office.

During the protest, students and parents complained that the principal Hosne Ara Begum has been doing various irregularities and corruption in this educational institution for a long time. They are often bribed by the principal while making complaints about minor issues. There is no tiffin time for the younger students of the school. Students run away and have tiffin. Apart from this, the coaching business, all the books, notebooks and pens are forced to buy educational equipment from the school at a very high price. Students and parents have to be harassed in various ways if they protest about these issues.
However, Hosne Ara Begum, Principal of Tangail Pre-Cadet School denied these allegations. He also said that students were not banned from wearing hijab in schools.
