A wood trader named Akash (24), a motorcyclist, was killed in a head-on collision with a pickup while overtaking a CNG in Tangail's Kalihati. His wife Tanzina fell into a ditch and narrowly escaped injury.

The accident took place at Mulia area of ​​Kalihati on Tangail-Mymensingh highway around 11:30 am on Sunday (October 27).

The deceased motorcyclist Akash is the son of Harun of Auliabad Dalipara village of Kalihati upazila.


According to local and police sources, Akash was going to Tangail on a motorcycle with his wife. On the way, reaching Mulia area of ​​Kalihati, the motorcycle overtook a CNG and collided head-on with a pickup. Akash died on the spot. The deceased Akash's wife Tanzina fell into the ditch and narrowly escaped injury. Locals rescued him and brought him to Kalihati Health Complex. After first treatment, he went home, according to duty doctor Sumi.

In this regard, SI Rahad of Elenga Highway Police Outpost of Kalihati confirmed the truth of the incident and said that motorcyclist Akash was killed on the spot in a head-on collision with a pickup in Mulia area of ​​Tangail-Mymensingh highway.
