The police recovered the hanging body of a school teacher from Daripaka village of Barachona union of Tangail's Sakhipur upazila.
On Tuesday (November 5), a teacher of Daripaka Government Primary School of Upazila was hanged. The deceased Nurul Islam (55) is the son of Amjad Hossain of Ward No. 5 of Daripaka village of Barachona Union. Deputy Inspector Azizul Haque of Sakhipur police station took care of the body. Local UP member Amir Hossain confirmed the truth of the incident. Nipa Akhter, the daughter of the deceased, claimed that her father could not bear the humiliation and committed suicide by hanging himself from the kitchen floor. Nipa also said that the teacher for the last few months. And some locals were accusing my father of sexual harassment and demanding money. But when my father refused, they said that he would be harassed in school in various ways. I demand exemplary punishment for those who are responsible for my father's death.
Note: On August 27, the parents-students made a written complaint to the concerned authorities and bound themselves against the teacher for sexually harassing the students.
In this regard, officer-in-charge of Sakhipur police station Md. Zakir Hossain told the correspondent of Bhorer paper that the body will be sent to the morgue for post-mortem after the legal process.
