Hafez Md. Moinuddin, a member of the central committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Farmers’ Party and a potential BNP nomination candidate for Kushtia-4 constituency, visited the grave of martyr Abrar Fahad. On Friday (July 25) afternoon, he went from Biljani Bazar to Kaya Raydanga Cemetery with a huge motorcycle showdown and paid his respects.

Several thousand leaders and activists were present during the visit to Abrar Fahad’s grave. Leaders and activists of the farmers’ party started gathering in Biljani Bazar of the upazila since morning, and by the afternoon it turned into a huge rally.

The showdown started from Biljani Bazar and circled various areas of Khoksa and Kumarkhali. On the way, Hafez Md. Moinuddin spoke at short road meetings at Khoksa bus stand and Kumarkhali. There, he sought the prayers and support of the people.

After visiting the grave, Hafez Moinuddin said, “Abrar Fahad dedicated his life for this country. His patriotism and sacrifice will be remembered forever. I want to keep his purpose and sacrifice in my heart and stand by the common people, I want to work for the people.”

It is worth noting that Abrar Fahad, a talented student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), was brutally murdered in 2019. His “crime” was to stand for the country’s independence, sovereignty and justice.
