Journalist Chifat Rahman Sanam, a well-known face of Pabna, voluntarily donated blood for the helpless mumursha patient for the 68th time. Through this, he has set a unique example in human service.
On National Voluntary Blood Donation Day on Saturday (November 02), he donated this blood at a function organized by Pabna's Thanthi Donor Club.
Journalist Sanam is the Chief Correspondent of Daily Ichamati published from Pabna and the former Publicity Editor of Tanthi Donor Club Pabna. He is also famous as a writer.
A short discussion meeting was held to celebrate the day. Acting President of Thanthi Donor Club Professor Dr. Iftekhar Mahmud, former general secretary Khairuzzaman Ahmed Arun, former publicity secretary Aminul Islam Tipu, Ismail Hossain, Rozi Khatun and others participated.

It should be noted that journalist Chifat Rahman Sanam (47) is the son of late Azizur Rahman, former sanitary inspector of Pabna Municipality, a resident of Town Hallpara, Dilalpur, Pabna city.
He is involved in various organizations including Pabna Press Club, Banmali Institute, Anjuman Mufidul Islam, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Human Rights Implementation Organization, Thanthani Donor Club, Mass Artist Organization, Dream Box Foundation.
National Youth Organization Kalkakali Kachikachar Mela Pabna Branch has performed the duty of organizer. He acted in several path dramas as an artiste of Gana Shilpi Sansthan. He is known throughout the district as a reciter and presenter.
Chifat Rahman Sanam was elected Literary and Cultural Secretary in Pabna Press Club several times. He was also elected as the sports secretary of this club. He received the Rotary Award in 2007 in recognition of his writing skills for the welfare of the common man. She won the FPAB National Award twice consecutively in 2007 and 2008 for reporting on women's empowerment and equal rights for women and men.
Several articles written by Chifat Rahman Sanam published at the national level have been appreciated by the readers. Already 14 books of his poetry have been published. His poetry has attracted readers. Sarala is his eleventh book of poetry. In 2011 and 2013, he was awarded the best writer award for the highest number of books sold at the Ekushe Book Fair in Pabna.
