Gazipur teenager Selim suffers from terminal cancer, desperate plea for help

Tofazzal Hossain Selim (14), a teenager from Gacha area of Gazipur city, is battling for his life after suffering from terminal blood cancer. This brilliant ninth-grade student of Gazipur Technical School and College is the only hope and dream of his daily wage-earning parents Shafiqul Islam and Selina Begum. He is currently undergoing treatment at the capital's Mohakhali National Cancer Hospital for a long time.
Selim's advanced treatment requires a huge amount of money, which is far beyond the means of his poor family. To save his son's life, his parents sold everything they had. They have been borrowing money from relatives and friends to continue his treatment for many days.
But now, far from repaying that loan, Selim's treatment has almost stopped due to lack of money.
“The last resources are gone. There is no other way. Now I only look to the mercy of Allah and the help of people. My son wants to live… Give him back.” The heartbreaking plea of Selim’s parents.
It is no longer possible for the helpless family to continue this expensive treatment. Therefore, his parents have appealed to the wealthy, charitable people of the society, and expatriate brothers and sisters for humanitarian assistance to save Selim.
