In Jessore court, the testimony of one person instead of another person was arrested and sent to jail

A young man named Moniruzzaman has been arrested for giving another witness instead of one in the fight case. On Monday (November 4), Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Loskar Sohail Rana took cognizance of the matter and ordered his arrest. Moniruzzaman is the son of Kader Ali Sardar of Putkhali village of Benapole Pot police station.
Peshkar Mozaffar Hossain of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court has filed a case against Moniruzzaman who was detained in Sadar Amli Court as a plaintiff. Senior Judicial Magistrate Golam Kibria took cognizance of the complaint and ordered the accused to be sent to jail.
According to sources, Selina Begum, wife of Shariful Islam of Putkhali village, is the plaintiff in a fight case. Monday was the day of testimony in this case. On that day, Selina brought her son-in-law Moniruzzaman with her when she came to Jessore court from home.
The plaintiff in the case Selina Begum appeared before the Additional Sessions Judge Court APP Mahabubur Rahman. According to Hajira, the plaintiff in the case, Selina Begum, was called to testify. Plaintiff Selina Begum made a verbal appeal to the judge stating that she did not wish to pursue the case any more as she had settled with the accused before testifying. The judge accepted the testimony of Selina Begum, the plaintiff in the case, and said that he would take the testimony of one more witness.
Selina Begum told APP Mahabubur Rahman that the witness was present. APP Mahabubur Rahman then submitted the appearance of the witness Zakir listed in the charge sheet to the court. Plaintiff's son-in-law Moniruzzaman came to the courtroom by post. Moniruzzaman started testifying on behalf of Zakir under oath. The judge became suspicious after finding discrepancies in the statements of the witnesses recorded by the investigating officer of the case. At one stage the judge asked Sakshi Feroze's mobile number. At that time, the judge's suspicion increased as the mobile number given by Moniruzzaman did not match the mobile number of the investigating officer. At one point, Moniruzzaman hunted him as a substitute witness for Feroze. At that time, the judge ordered the police present in the courtroom to arrest Moniruzzaman. Peshkar Mozaffar Hossain filed a case in Sadar Amli Court in this incident. The judge took the complaint into account and ordered the arrested accused Moniruzzaman to be sent to jail.
APP Mahabubur Rahman of the concerned court said, "The plaintiff in the case, Selina Begum, appeared to be the only witness. The judge expressed his interest in taking the statement of another witness as the case was settled on the oral plea of the plaintiff. At that time the plaintiff Selina said that the witness was present. Then I submitted the appearance of the witness Feroze mentioned in the charge sheet. During the testimony, the judge realized that he was a false witness and ordered him to be detained.
