Administration's special task force campaign to control commodity prices

A special task force committee operation has been conducted at the district level related to the Ministry of Commerce to monitor and review the market situation and supply chain of commodities in Tangail.

The operation was conducted under the leadership of Special Task Force Committee convener and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Ziaul Islam Chowdhury in the wholesale and retail market of Amin Bazar area of the city on Sunday morning (October 13).
At this time, the members of the special task force committee conducted raids in several wholesale and retail shops of daily necessities and warned the shop owners. Also some shops were fined for not listing the selling price of the products. He warned that strict action will be taken if the list is not found at the same price in future. The campaign will continue in the markets outside the city in phases.
After the operation, the special task force committee conducted the operation and asked the shop owners not to harm the common people in the name of profit. Traders will make profit, but strict measures will be taken if they create unstable market environment by dishonest means in the name of profit.
Sikdar Shahinur Alam, member secretary of special task force committee and assistant director of the district office of the National Consumer Rights Protection Department, Md. Abu Zubair Ujjal, member of the special task force and general secretary of Cab Tangail district branch, and representative of the Directorate of Agricultural Marketing Md. Liaqat Ali were present in the operation.
