2 Chhatra League leaders of DU were arrested for beating and snatching 1.5 lakh taka

Shahbag Police Station arrested two leaders of Dhaka University Chhatra League in the case of beating up a businessman and extorting 1 lakh 75 thousand Tk. They were arrested on Thursday night. The court granted them bail on Friday.
These two leaders are Nafis Fuad, Vice President of Dhaka University Chhatra League and student of Applied Chemistry Department. He is known as a follower of DU Chhatra League president Mazharul Kabir Shayan. Another nuclear engineering department Fazlul Haque Muslim is Chhatra League environment secretary Mahidur Rahman Badhan. Bandhan DU Chhatra League general secretary Tanveer Hasan is known as Saikat's follower.
The accused named in the case are Nishan, Russell Mia and Rafi. Their detailed identities were not mentioned. On the other hand these two leaders of DU were arrested as anonymous.
According to the statement of the case, it is known that Md. Nishan called a businessman named Rubel to Shahbagh based on his previous acquaintance. On reaching there, all the accused took him on a motorcycle to a secluded place in the central playground of Dhaka University. They were beaten with bamboo sticks. At that time, he took Tk 50 thousand from City Bank apps through his mobile phone. Then transfer another 50 thousand rupees from the cash account.
Apart from this, the accused took Tk 20,000 from the Rocket account, another Tk 50,000 from the next ATM card and Tk 5,000 from the wallet.
