30 Awami League leaders and activists defect from Narail, join BNP

30 Awami League leaders and activists have joined BNP in Narail. These leaders and activists joined BNP under the leadership of Narail Sadar Upazila Awami League (banned activities) members Ali Imam Shikder and Md. Khawaja Fakir.
Today, Saturday (December 27), at around 4 pm, they attended the Narail district BNP office and formally joined BNP by presenting flowers to BNP-nominated Narail-2 constituency MP candidate and NPP Chairman Dr. Fariduzzaman Farhad. At that time, the BNP leaders and activists present warmly welcomed the newcomers.
After joining BNP, Ali Imam Sikder and Md. Khawaja Fakir said, "We have been in the wrong for so long. Now we are on the right path. We have joined BNP with the aim of playing a role in building a beautiful and developed Bangladesh without discrimination under the leadership of the future statesman, BNP Acting Chairman Mr. Tarique Rahman."
The leaders and activists who joined BNP from the banned Awami League are from Bhadravila Union in Narail Sadar Upazila.
