Later, they carried out a vote campaign from the university’s main gate to the nearby Sheikhpara market in support of BNP-nominated candidate for Jhenaidah-1 constituency, Advocate Asaduzzaman, who is contesting with the “Sheaf of Paddy” symbol. Several BNP-aligned teachers and Chhatra Dal leaders and activists participated in the campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, IUTA IU unit President Professor Dr. Tozammel Hossain said that an eight-member committee has been formed to conduct election-related activities in the university area ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election. He claimed that the initiative received a positive response from the general public.
