Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman met with the family members of Shaheed Sumaiya, who was shot by the police during the anti-discrimination student movement.
He went to Sumaiya's mother's house in Painadi Doel Chatwar area of Siddhirganj on Wednesday (August 14) afternoon. Inquired about them and condoled with the bereaved family.
At that time, he announced to take all the responsibilities of Sumaiya's little baby daughter Suaiba in his arms.
Jamaat Amir said, "Those who have lost their mothers, those who have lost their fathers, those who have lost their own children, like this child, we pray to God that God gives them the strength to endure." We took all the responsibility of this stupid child from now until he grows up.
He said, people have proved that they do not compromise with injustice. They proved with fresh blood that they want peace in the country. May Allah Ta'ala give us that grace so that we can bring back peace in the country.
He said, if anyone creates chaos in the area again, it will be against the blood of martyrs. And so that no one can do it, you will paralyze their hands in the area, area by area. People should teach those who do excesses.
