Shakib Al Hasan will play for Bengal Tigers in Abu Dhabi T-Ten League. The franchise has signed Shakib as the icon cricketer for the upcoming season.
Today Thursday (October 10) Bangla Tigers confirmed the news of the agreement with Shakib on social media.
Shakib had a contract with Bengal Tigers in the last season of this league as well. However, due to injury, he did not enter the field in the last season. This all-rounder was knocked down with a finger injury before the start of the tournament. The team is once again trusting Shakib in the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Shakib recently announced his retirement from international T20. However, he will continue to play in domestic and franchise leagues. This all-rounder is currently staying in the United States.
Shakib has also announced his retirement from Tests. He wants to bid farewell to red ball cricket with the upcoming series against South Africa. However, there are doubts about his performance in this series on the ground of the country due to security issues.
