Bangladesh's Taskin Ahmed has been named in the Wisden ODI Team of the Year, the famous bible of cricket. Last year was a remarkable year for him in ODI cricket, where he earned this honor through consistent performances. He took 14 wickets in seven matches in 2024 at an average of 23.9, which earned him a place in this XI.
It is noteworthy that apart from Taskin Ahmed, three players from Sri Lanka, two from Afghanistan, West Indies and Pakistan, and one each from England and Bangladesh have made it to the Wisden ODI XI. No one from India and Australia has made it to this XI.
