Australia's Beth Mooney has been named ICC Player of the Month for January!

Australian keeper-batter Beth Mooney has been named ICC Player of the Month for January. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has recently announced the names of the best male and female cricketers of the month. Mooney won the award by beating West Indies' Karisma Ramharak and India's Gangadi Trishna.
Australia's Beth Mooney won the award with her outstanding performance. She scored one fifty in the Ashes series against England and 213 runs at a strike rate of 146.89 in the T20 series. After scoring 75 runs off 44 balls in Sydney, Mooney scored an unbeaten 94 runs off 63 balls in Adelaide, which took her to the top of the T20 batsmen rankings.
Meanwhile, West Indies left-arm spinner Jomel Warrickan won the 'ICC Player of the Month' award for men's cricketers in January. He bowled brilliantly in the first Test of the two-Test series in Pakistan. He took 3 wickets in the first innings and 7 wickets for 32 runs in the second innings, although his team lost the match. However, in the next Test, West Indies won their first Test in Pakistan in over 34 years, and Warrick was the hero of that match. He also won the Man of the Series award with 4 wickets for 43 runs in the first innings and 5 wickets for 27 runs in the second innings.
Furthermore, he became the highest wicket-taker in the series with 19 wickets, while also making valuable contributions to the match with 31 and 36 runs in the two innings.
Mooney and Warrick were awarded the ICC Player of the Month for January for this outstanding performance.
