Barrister Naushad Zamir, International Affairs Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), went to the fields in Panchagarh, an agriculturally promising district in the northern region, and listened to the suffering of farmers. On Friday afternoon, he visited the houses and crop fields of farmers in various villages around Patsiri, including Garinabari Union, Sadar Upazila.

During this time, he spoke directly to the farmers and listened to the real picture of their lives, stories of deprivation and hardship. At the field level, farmers said that although they cultivate chilli, paddy, wheat, tea and jute, they are being deprived of fair prices for their crops in many cases. Naushad Zamir expressed deep concern and sorrow that chilli farmers are not getting fair prices.

He said, “Farmers work hard to grow golden crops, but they are often deprived of their due rights. They are extremely disappointed because they are not getting a fair price for chillies. We are working as a party to alleviate their suffering.”

Naushad Zamir announced that the party leaders and activists must work actively to ensure that farmers get a fair price, government agricultural incentives are distributed fairly and they benefit without any harassment. He assured that the demands, problems and achievements of farmers at the field level will be seriously considered.

In addition, Barrister Naushad Zamir went to local markets, shops, alleys and streets to carry out public awareness campaigns to convey the message of the “31-point” program announced by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to the grassroots. Exchanging views with the common people, he said, “The 31-point program is not just a political program, it is an outline of national development. This message must reach every person.”

Leaders and activists of various BNP affiliates were also present at the event. He also said that such public relations at the field level is part of BNP's continuous program.
