Model Meghna Alam entered showbiz in 2020 through the 'Miss Earth Bangladesh' competition. Although she was in the news from the beginning, she has recently made headlines again due to various controversies and legal complications.

On the night of April 9, the Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested her from her home in the capital. She was arrested on charges of extortion and was released on bail on April 28 after being detained for 30 days.

Recently, Meghna, who was in the news due to various comments made by the Saudi ambassador to Bangladesh, Isa, has now sparked a new controversy with her Facebook post. In the post, she claimed that she is still a virgin and has never had physical relations with anyone.

Meghna wrote, "I have declared on the Quran that I have never had sexual relations with anyone in my life, not even with Isa. Any attempt to prove me immoral or lustful should stop."

Expressing her anger over the social view of women, she said, "In our society, a beard, robe, and burqa are considered symbols of purity. But if a woman wears revealing clothes, she is considered accessible. However, the state of her heart cannot be understood by her outward appearance."

Claiming to be a virgin, Meghna also wrote, "I have never had physical relations with anyone consciously. I am a virgin till today. I am being harassed in false cases just because I broke my marriage with someone powerful. Throughout history, women have had to undergo a trial time and again, while men remain unquestioned and safe."
