One person died due to lightning while taking grass home

A youth named Pakhin Chandra Barman (27) died due to lightning in Atwari upazila of Panchagarh district. The incident took place on Tuesday night in Jhakua neighborhood of Aloakhwar of Atwari upazila. Deceased Pakhin Chandra Barman is the son of Dhiren Chandra Barman of the same village.
Locals said that birds go to cut grass in the fields for cows and goats after afternoon. This incident happened while returning home with grass. When he was rescued and taken to Atwari Upazila Health Complex, the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Atwari police station Musa Mia said that one person has died due to lightning. A case of wrongful death (UD) has been filed in the police station in this incident
