In Ulipur, Kurigram, educational scholarships were given to poor students (for the fifth time) to preserve the memory of the heavenly Ambikacharan Ray. With the financial support of late Ambikacharan Roy's third son Prof. Nikhil Chandra Roy (Retired Principal, Chauddagram Government College, Comilla) and grandson Rabindranath Roy (Manager, NCC Bank, Rangpur) on Thursday (October 10) morning in an informal ceremony at Ulipur Govind Jinu Mandir premises. 'Ambika Foundation' awarded education scholarships to seven poor and meritorious students of the upazila.

Geeta Roy, wife of Ambikacharan Roy's first son late Subhash Chandra Roy, second son Gokul Chandra Roy, grandson Debbrata Roy (Principal, Ulipur Women's Degree College), grandson Utpal Roy (Lecturer, Department of Management, Kurigram Government College) were present.

Note Late Subhash Chandra Roy (Former Assistant Professor, Department of Bangla, Ulipur Government College) was the eldest son of Ambikacharan Roy. Swargiya Ambikacharan Roy taught at Durgapur Government Primary School in Ulipur Upazila for more than 40 years and was associated with the anti-British Swadeshi movement. He passed away in 1989 AD.
Professor Nikhil Chandra Roy said, I am continuing this small effort from 2020 AD to protect the memory of my father.
