4 robbers were arrested by mob while preparing for robbery in Pabna

While preparing for the robbery by stopping the car on the highway in Pabna, the crowd arrested 4 robbers and handed them over to the police. Some indigenous weapons were seized from them.
They were arrested from a place called Dhopaghata on the Pabna-Nagarbari highway of Pabna Sadar Upazila on Thursday (October 24 night).
The arrested are Rakib Sheikh (23), son of Babu Sheikh of Paikarhati Shahidnagar village of Santhia upazila, Zaker Islam (22), son of Nazrul Islam of Bhavni village of Nator Sadar upazila, Russell Mia (20), son of Zainal Abedin of Lochangarh village and Hazrat Molla, son of Aladi village of Singra upazila. Shahadat Hossain (25).
At this time, 4 more robber members escaped. They are Rabiul Islam alias Hefajat (30) of Bamondanga village of Natore Sadar Upazila, Emon Hossain (20) of Lochangarh village, Cowsar Hossain (19) and Sagar Hossain (23) of the same village.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pabna Sadar Police Station Abdus Salam said that a group of robbers were preparing to rob a bus on the Pabna-Nagarbari highway with a microbus in Dhopaghata Mor area of Pabna Sadar Upazila. On Thursday night around 8:30 p.m., the local residents informed the police by arresting the four people as they suspected their movement. At this time, 4 other members of the bandit escaped. Later, the police arrested them from the spot. Several robbery tools and indigenous weapons were seized from the microbus accompanying them. Among them, Shahadat Hussain, a seriously injured dacoit member, was admitted to Pabna General Hospital under police custody.
The OC said that during the preliminary interrogation of the police, the arrested persons said that they were preparing to rob a processing yarn vehicle coming from Shahjadpur to Pabna from Dhaka at Dhopaghata junction with a microbus. Later, the local crowd caught them and beat them.
OC Abdus Salam said that after filing a case in this incident, the arrested three people were arrested and sent to jail through the court on Friday afternoon. After the injured robber recovers, he will also be sent to jail after being arrested in that case.
