The new film of the popular franchise 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' starring Tom Holland and Zendaya has created a new history at the box office on the first day of its release in India. The film, which released on July 30, earned a record Rs 60.60 crore excluding taxes on its opening day. This new installment of Marvel has shattered all the first-day records of the previous successful Hollywood films 'Avengers: Endgame' and 'Avatar: The Way of Water' that earned in India.

The film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, started ruling the Indian theaters a day before its wide release in the United States. As per the general rule, many production houses arrange for a huge amount of ticket block bookings or preview shows on the opening day to artificially increase the revenue. However, the film achieved this incredible financial success by selling tickets completely naturally without any preview show or advance block booking.

The film has surpassed not only the Hollywood world record, but also the opening day business of several recent big-budget popular Indian films. This new Spider-Man film has even surpassed the opening day gross of Rs 67 crores of the popular film 'Pathan' starring Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan, which clearly shows the craze of Indian Marvel fans.

The audience's interest around this 38th film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is now at its peak. According to box office analysts, the film's income can touch the Rs 150 to 200 crore milestone in the first four-day weekend as there is currently no strong competitor at the theaters. After the successful three installments 'Homecoming', 'Far From Home' and 'No Way Home', this new installment is going to write a new history of business at the Indian box office.
