Payatara's complaint of forcible land grabbing in Sreepur

Allegations of forcible encroachment of purchased land in Sreepur of Gazipur have been raised. Farhad Mia, son of Abdul Khalek of Tengra village of Telihati union of the upazila, demanded justice. On the morning of Sunday 03 November, it was seen on the ground that Farhad claimed 5 and a half percent of Akashmani garden next to Farhad's house.
Farhad Mia complained that his cousin Shamsul Haque's son Rafiqul Islam and Safiqul Islam are trying to take possession of 5.5 percent of the land purchased by force. In this regard, he demanded justice in the land dispute in the Union Parishad. Later, the local UP members tried to settle the matter, but due to the non-cooperation of former UP member Helal Uddin, the settlement was not possible.
On the other hand, Rafiqul and Safiqul have become desperate for land grab. They are trying to take possession of Farhad's land unfairly. Locals said that since Farhad purchased the land, the accused have been trying to seize it. Farhad approached the journalists to get rid of injustice. He demanded a fair and impartial trial from the administration and higher authorities.
When I contacted Rafiqul Islam about this, he said, "If we have possession of Farhad's land, I will release it." At one stage he admitted to the journalists that they have additional land in their possession.
