Husband arrested for spreading nude pictures of wife on Facebook demanding dowry

A young man named Siam Ali (24) has been arrested by the police in a case filed for spreading nude pictures of his wife on social media for dowry.
Today Saturday (October 12) in the early hours of Pabna Bhangura police station arrested him from Khanmarich area. The arrested is the son of Al Helal of Hatudhunia village of Siam upazila. He worked as a decorator's labourer.
On October 6, the victim's wife filed the case under the Pornography Act in the learned Magistrate Court of Pabna. Pabna No. 4 Administrative Court Judge Bebi Nazneen took into consideration the written application of the plaintiff and ordered the Bhangura police station to take the affidavit.

According to the records of the case, the woman got married to the accused Siam on July 24, 2022. After marriage, Siam physically and mentally abused his wife for dowry and threw her out of the house. The woman is in court in Pabna about the matter
made a case. Realizing the danger, Siam took his wife back to the family and withdrew the case. After that, he started living in a normal way. In between, he kept some pictures and videos of his wife's intimate moments on his mobile phone. After that, Siam started physically and mentally torturing his wife again for dowry.
At one point, Siam demanded dowry by sending nude pictures taken by his sister on his wife's brother's Facebook messenger. He also threatened to make the picture viral on the net if the dowry is not paid. If the family of the housewife did not pay attention to the matter, Siam opened a fake ID on Facebook with his wife's naked photo and spread it. Later, the victim's wife filed a total of three cases in Pabna Administrative Court No. 4 on dowry, pornography and family court on October 6. The court directed the Bhangura Police to take the statement in the case under the Pornography Act.
Bhangura Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiqul Islam said, "According to the instructions of the court, after registering the case, Siam was arrested from Khanmarich area on Saturday morning and his mobile phone was seized. Later he was sent to jail through the court.
