A case has been filed against three police officers including the former OC of Sharsha police station in the case of arresting Mahir Sardar of Tengrali of Sharsha from Jessore jail gate and extorting money under the threat of cross fire. Mahir Sardar's wife Nasreen Sultana filed the case as plaintiff on Wednesday. Senior Judicial Magistrate Rahmat Ali ordered the PBI to investigate the allegations and submit a report.

In order to save the life of Mihir Ali, his wife raised five lakh rupees by pledging loans and land, the accused came to his house around 6:30 pm and took the money. The next day, Mihir Ali was physically tortured and admitted to the hospital for not paying the other five lakh taka and sent to the court in two pending cases.
