Businessman Gaurang Chandra Das held a press conference demanding the immediate arrest of the accused involved in the controversial gold shop robbery in Gazipur's Sreepur. At the same time, he also demanded the withdrawal of the false extortion case.
At the press conference held at the local journalist's office in Hotapara area of Gazipur on Wednesday (November 5) afternoon, Gaurang Chandra Das, owner of Rita Jewelers, said, "They broke the lock of my shop in a filmy style in the afternoon and looted about 112 bhors of gold and 1300 bhors of silver in a terrorist style. The estimated market value of which is more than 2.5 crore taka."
He also said that after the incident, a case was filed with Sreepur police station, naming five people including Subrata Das and Payel Sarkar and naming 15 other unidentified people as accused.
