Body of unidentified youth recovered floating in Dahuk river, excitement in the area

Police have recovered the body of an unidentified youth floating in the Dahuk river in Tentulia upazila of Panchagarh. On Friday (December 26) evening, locals saw the body floating in the Dahuk river in Balabari area of Buraburi union of the upazila.
Upon receiving information from locals, Tentulia Model Police Station quickly reached the spot. Later, the body was recovered from the river water with the help of locals. Police estimate that the deceased youth is approximately 40 years old. However, his identity has not been identified yet.
Police said that locals saw the body floating in the Dahuk river and informed the police station. Upon receiving information, the police went to the spot and recovered the body and completed the initial investigation. The recovery of the body created excitement in the area.
In this regard, on Saturday (December 27) afternoon, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tentulia Model Police Station Rasedul Islam said that efforts are underway to identify the body. Locals believe that someone may have killed the person and thrown him into the river. However, no one can say for sure whether he was mentally unbalanced or not.
The OC also said that the body will be sent to the morgue of Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital on Saturday for an autopsy. The exact cause of death will be known once the autopsy report is received. Necessary legal action is being taken in this incident.
