Chhatra Dal announces full panel for DUCSU elections

The Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal has announced a full panel of 27 members to participate in the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) elections. The organization's central president Rakibul Islam Rakib officially announced the panel at the foot of the Operajoy Bangla sculpture at Dhaka University on Wednesday (August 20).
According to the announced panel, Dhaka University Chhatra Dal Joint General Secretary and Islamic Studies Department student Abidul Islam Khan will contest for the post of VP (Co-President).
Poet Jasim Uddin Hall Chhatra Dal convener and Women and Gender Studies Department student Sheikh Tanvir Bari Hamim will contest for the post of GS (General Secretary).
And Tanvir Al Hadi Mayed, convener of Bijoy Ekattor Hall Chhatra Dal and 2018-19 session of the Mass Communication and Journalism Department, has been nominated for the post of AGS (Associate General Secretary).

However, the post of Research and Publications Editor has been kept vacant. The Chhatra Dal informed that no one was nominated for this post out of respect for Sanjida Ahmed Tanbi, who was injured on July 15.

The announced members of the Chhatra Dal are—
Zarif Rahman, Mahmudul Hasan, Nahid Hasan, Md. Hasibur Rahman Shakib, Shamim Rana, Yasin Arafat Alif, Munim Hasan Arup, Ranjan Roy, Swaib Islam Omi, Meherunnesa Keya, Ibnu Ahmed, Shamsul Haque Anan and Nityanand Pal.
According to the schedule, the voting for the DUCSU elections will be held on September 9 at the Dhaka University center.
