The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) said that at least 415 US service members have been injured in Iranian attacks since the start of the ongoing "Operation Epic Fury". The Anadolu Agency reported this, citing the latest data published on Monday.
According to the Pentagon, 13 US soldiers have been killed in the conflict so far. The situation in the Middle East has become very tense after the joint attack by the US and Israel on Iran on February 28.
Since then, tensions have reached a peak in the region due to counterattacks. It is reported that more than 1,300 people have been killed in this conflict so far. In response, Iran also launched drone and missile attacks on Israel and neighboring countries where US bases are located.
A temporary two-week ceasefire was announced on April 8 with the mediation of Pakistan to bring the situation under control. A rare face-to-face meeting between the United States and Iran was held in Pakistan on April 11 amid the ceasefire, but the talks ended without any final agreement.
Meanwhile, mediators are trying to create a new environment for talks to resolve the crisis. At the same time, anti-war protests continue in front of the White House, where demonstrators are demanding an end to the conflict.
