Cow is already the mother of the nation, no need to declare it a new national animal: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the cow is the "self-proclaimed mother of the nation" of India, so there is no need to declare it a new national animal. He made this comment at a public meeting in Bijnor on Monday.
He said, "Those who are publishing pictures of cow mothers on social media on the day of Eid-ul-Adha should stop it. Otherwise, they will have to face consequences that will be remembered for generations." He claimed that there is no need to make a separate declaration about cow mothers, as it is already culturally established.
Recently, there has been a discussion in West Bengal, India, about the issue of Muslims not sacrificing cows. It is known that many people refrained from sacrificing cows before Eid due to strictness. At the same time, some quarters have also demanded that the cow be declared a national animal.
This incident has sparked new political and social debates in various states of India. Especially the issue of Hindutva politics and religious sensitivities has come up again.
