Band star Shafin Ahmed is no more

Popular band star Shafin Ahmed is no more. He died at 6:50 am Bangladesh time on Thursday in a hospital in Virginia, USA (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun).
He was 63 years old. This matter was confirmed to the media by the musician's brother Hamin Ahmed and his wife Naheen Ahmed. Names of Shafin Ahmed's two children are known. Son Azraf Oji and daughter Rania Safa Ahmed. Shafin's elder brother Hamin Ahmed said, “Shafin had a massive heart attack. On July 20 he had a concert in Virginia. Shafin fell ill before the show. The show was later cancelled. He was admitted to the hospital that day. After that, when his various organs failed, he was taken on life support. Shafin Ahmed is the bass guitarist and lead singer of Miles Band. Outside of the band, he has also pursued a solo career. There are also several solo or mixed albums by this artist. Shafin's mother is music artist Feroza Begum and father is composer Kamal Das Gupta. He was a regular participant in BTV's programs on Miles which aired at the time. Some of his popular songs include 'Chand Tara Surya', 'Jhala Jhala', 'Fire Dao' and 'Fire Ele Na'.
