Gopalpur Awami League President A. Momen arrested, sweets distributed.

opalpur Thana Police arrested Gopalpur Upazila Awami League president and former Alamnagar UP chairman Abdul Momen and Madarjani village Awami League leader Lutfar Rahman from their residence on College Road in Paur city early on Wednesday, October 2.

It is known that Zahid Hossain, the coordinator of Madhupur Upazila Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, filed this case against 4/5 hundred people including unknown persons on August 4 as the plaintiff. 6 people from Madhupur were arrested earlier in this case. This time 2 people were arrested from Gopalpur. Later, when they were handed over to the Madhupur Police Station, they were challaned in the Tangail Magistrate Court. The learned Magistrate denied them bail and sent them to jail.
Gopalpur police station officer-in-charge (OC) Golam Muktar Ashraf Uddin, confirmed their arrest.
On this occasion, on Wednesday afternoon, under the initiative of Ward No. 5 of Alamnagar Union BNP, a joyous procession and sweets were distributed. The procession circumambulates from Alamnagar Boardghar to Alamnagar Hat. At the end of the joyous procession, the president of Ward No. 5 BNP gave a short speech. Salimuddin, Suti VM Pilot Model Government High School Assistant Teacher Himel Chowdhury, Upazila Fishermen's Party Vice President Hasibul Hasan Kanak, Alamnagar Union Juba Dal Convener Nizamuddin, Senior Joint Convener Shamim Al Mamun and Kamrul Islam. The speakers pointed out their various misdeeds and demanded hanging.
