By Allah, no one can bring Sheikh Hasina back: Zainul Abdin Faruk

At a protest rally organized by the Nationalist Ulema Party in front of the National Press Club on Thursday (October 19), BNP Chairperson's advisor Zainul Abdin Farooq alleged that the Awami League is now dependent on Indian support and is busy protecting the interests of neighboring countries instead of the country's interests. He clearly said, "Modi can never be a friend of Bangladesh" and claimed that there is no power to bring Sheikh Hasina back to power with India's support.

Farooq further alleged that the people of the country are not getting fair rights to water and borders. Bangladesh is not getting proper water from the Teesta River, the Farakka Dam is not opening on time and the body of Felani is hanging on the border - he referred to these incidents as failures of the current government's policy. He strongly criticized the Awami League's excessive dependence on India.

In his speech as the chief guest, Zainul Abdin Farooq also said, “You will commit genocide in the country, destroy democracy… I swear to God, there is no force that can bring Sheikh Hasina back.” He stressed the need to establish voting rights in the country and said, “Now is not the time to be divided, everyone has to unite. If those who are fighting against Sheikh Hasina’s dictatorship are united, InshaAllah Hasina will never be able to return to power.”

He also said to the people present at the rally, “I will cast my vote—dead people will never vote again. Let’s all together restore people’s voting rights.” He expressed hope that democratic rights can be restored through people’s unity and movement.

The reports also mentioned that the participants in the rally also strongly protested against the allegations of insulting the Holy Quran and conspiracy regarding the national elections.
