Rumin Farhana hints at leaving BNP, says she will vote no matter what the marka is!

Rumin Farhana, the party's international affairs associate secretary and former MP, has hinted at leaving BNP. She said that the final basis for her decision will be the opinion of the people of the area. Regardless of the party or electoral mark, she will participate in the elections from Sarail-Ashuganj.

Rumin Farhana said these things at a prayer and exchange of views meeting for the recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia at Bitghar Bazar in Panishwar Union of Sarail Upazila of Brahmanbaria on Friday (December 20) afternoon. Discussions have started in political circles about her statement as a possible indication that she will leave BNP.

Rumin Farhana said at the meeting, "Whatever I say, I do. The decision of the people of my area is my final decision. If you are by my side, whatever the mark is, I will vote from Sarail-Ashuganj."

Referring to his visits to the area almost every week, he said that he has many dreams for Sarail and Ashuganj. He wants to develop these two upazilas as model upazilas. He expressed hope that he will realize that dream if he can get into parliament with the votes of the people of the area.

Referring to his political role, Rumin Farhana said, "I will not say what role I had in the last 17 years—people know. I came into politics to fulfill my father's unfulfilled dream. If you stand by me, we can win Bangladesh."

Regarding the 13th National Parliament elections to be held next February, he said that for the last 15 years, the people of the country were deprived of real voting rights. He also commented that he wants to believe in the government's assurance of holding good elections in 2026.

Urging the government to make the elections fair and secure, Rumin Farhana said that all illegal weapons should be recovered before the elections and weapons looted from police stations after August 5 should be brought under the law. At the same time, he demanded that the safety of voters, candidates and political workers be ensured.

It is worth noting that BNP has already announced candidates for 272 seats in two phases, but has not yet announced a candidate for Brahmanbaria-2 (Sarail-Ashuganj) constituency. For the past few months, Rumin Farhana has been regularly conducting public relations and social activities in this area.
