At a mass procession and rally organized in Rajshahi, Jamaat-e-Islami Metropolitan Secretary Emazuddin Mondal said, ‘Fascism has left the country due to the Guptas, this is our pride.’ He made this statement at a rally held at Batar More after the procession that started from Alupatti More in the metropolis on Saturday (April 25) afternoon.
The 11-party unity alliance organized this program as part of its central program to implement the referendum verdict, resolve the energy crisis, control commodity prices and protest against violence in educational institutions.
While addressing the rally, Emazuddin Mondal said, ‘You are in the government today because we were Guptas. Therefore, being Guptas is a matter of pride for us.’ He energized the workers through slogans and claimed that the political change in the country was possible due to the role of these ‘Guptas’.
Pointing to BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, he criticized the dynasty. He said that if the dynasty is not stopped, it will be difficult to survive politically in the country in the future.
The speakers at the rally further alleged that political parties are carrying out terrorist activities to occupy and dominate educational institutions, which is destroying the educational environment.
At this time, the issues of energy crisis, rising commodity prices and public suffering were also raised. The speakers claimed that the government is failing to meet the basic needs of the people and that effective steps need to be taken quickly.
Leaders of various levels of Jamaat and representatives of other political organizations also spoke at the rally.
