Operation to clear illegal structures on Panchagarh-Tentulia highway

The road department is conducting an operation to clear illegal structures on both sides of the Panchagarh-Tentulia National Highway. The evacuation operation was carried out from Jagdal Bazar area of Sadar Upazila to Land Office.
The campaign started in Jagdal Bazar area of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila from morning to noon on Thursday (October 31) and ended in front of land office in Panchagarh city. At that time, the evacuation operation was carried out in the area around the highway. At this time, the structure was crushed with bulldozers.
It is known that during the operation, the Souz authorities have removed hundreds of illegal structures built on the site of the road and highway department.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila Mohan Minji, Sub Divisional Engineer of Panchagarh Office of Roads and Highways Department Motahar Ali along with officers and employees and policemen of the police station were present in the eviction operation with the help of Panchagarh district administration.
Motahar Ali, sub-divisional engineer of the Panchagarh office of the Roads and Public Ways Department said, "There are hundreds of illegal structures built on the side of the road. And miking has been done with notice for few days to remove these structures. Meanwhile, eviction operations are being conducted against those who did not obey the instructions. This campaign will be conducted regularly.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila Mohan Minji said, "This operation was conducted in the city including Jagdal Bazar and Barrister Bazar from morning."
