DB SI Matiur receives award for achievements in drug recovery and crime control

Matiur Rahman, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Dhaka District North Detective Police (DB), has received an award from Dhaka District Police for his special contribution in recovering drugs, arresting identified drug dealers and robbers and maintaining overall law and order. He was awarded this award in recognition of his successful and courageous work in the months of May and June.
The award was presented at the Master Parade, Kit Parade and the joint monthly welfare meeting of May and June organized at the Mill Barrack Police Lines of Dhaka District Police. Dhaka District Police Superintendent Shamima Parveen, who was present as the chief guest at the event, officially handed over the award to SI Matiur Rahman, the distinguished officer.
Police sources said that in May and June, SI Matiur Rahman, as a member of the Dhaka District North Detective Police, conducted several successful and risky operations in Savar and neighboring areas. In these operations, a large amount of narcotics were recovered, and several members of professional drug dealers and robbers were arrested. His activities played an important role in maintaining the law and order situation in the district.
The welfare meeting held under the chairmanship of Dhaka District Police Superintendent Shamima Parveen discussed various issues related to the welfare of the district police members. At the same event, several other police members were given financial awards for their special contributions in other areas of law and order, and recently retired officers and employees were given crests and farewell gifts.
