'King of Jinns' arrested on charges of fraud in Fatikchari

RAB-8 has arrested Kamal Uddin Mir (47), the alleged 'King of Jinn', in Bhola in a case of cheating an expatriate of Tk 5.3 million in Fatikchhari Police Station in Chittagong. He was arrested from a tea shop in the Dakshin Bus Stand area of Borhanuddin Upazila in Bhola around 8 pm on Monday (September 1). The arrested Kamal Mir is the son of Musa Mir of Padma Mansa village in Kachia Union of the upazila.
A press release from RAB-8 Bhola camp said that Kamal Uddin Mir used to advertise himself online as 'King of Jinn' in the name of solving family problems and had been cheating many people in this way for a long time.
The victim, Didarul Alam, an expatriate of Fatikchhari in Chittagong, contacted him through his advertisement. Kamal Uddin Mir embezzled a total of Tk 5.3 million and five thousand from the victim through multiple bKash numbers at different times from February 7 to April 5.
Later, realizing the fraud, Didarul Alam filed a case in the Chittagong Chief Judicial Magistrate Court. On the court's orders, a case was registered at Fatikchhari Police Station. During the investigation of the case, a team from RAB-8 Bhola Camp conducted a raid in Borhanuddin based on a secret information and arrested Kamal Uddin Mir.
RAB said that the operation to arrest the fugitive associates of the 'King of Jinn' is still ongoing.
