Smuggling Phensedyl Hidden Inside Jackfruit, Youth Arrested in Jessore

Police have arrested a youth named Tariqul Islam (25) while smuggling Phensedyl hidden inside jackfruit in a unique way in Chaugachha, Jessore.
The incident took place on Wednesday at the Kayarpara intersection area of the Chaugachha-Jashore road. The arrested Tariqul Islam is the son of Md. Fazlur Rahman of Tilakpur village of the upazila.
Police said that based on a secret tip-off, a team led by Sub-Inspector (SI) of Chaugachha Police Station Md. Jasim Uddin conducted a raid in the area. At that time, Tariqul Islam was carrying some jackfruit on a bicycle. The police stopped him and searched him as he seemed suspicious.
At one stage of the search, 40 bottles of Phensedyl specially hidden inside 4 large jackfruits were recovered. He was later arrested from the spot.
Police said a case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act at Chougachha Police Station in this incident.
