Doctors said that the child's hand is now in critical condition and it has been advised to send her to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
According to the victim's family, on May 22, child Rubaida tried to climb a mango tree near her house while playing and fell and injured her right arm. On the advice of locals, she was taken to the so-called Kabiraj Moshir Uddin alias Shanu in Shalbahan Bazar of Tetulia. There, he tied her hand with a bamboo stick.
Later, when the condition deteriorated, the hand swelled and blistered, creating a situation similar to a festering wound. Later, when the child was taken to Tetulia Upazila Health Complex on May 24, the doctors advised to transfer her to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
According to doctors, the child's hand condition has now reached a very critical stage due to lack of timely specialist treatment. They also said that if necessary, a decision may have to be made through surgery.

Tetulia Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer said that people should be aware of such risky treatment. He commented that the child's condition has worsened due to not getting proper treatment quickly.
Meanwhile, the child's family has demanded justice for accused Kabiraj. Panchagarh Civil Surgeon said that legal action will be taken if a written complaint is received.
