'Joy Bangla, Joy Bangabandhu' slogans at Prime Minister's event venue; youth detained

Tensions have arisen over slogans raised during preparations for a political program in Moulvibazar's Srimangal. A youth named Sohel Rana has been taken into custody by the police in this incident.
According to local sources, preparations were underway at the Victoria High School grounds of the city to participate in a program scheduled for Wednesday for BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman's visit. At that time, a person was allegedly standing in the area adjacent to the grounds and chanting 'Joy Bangla, Joy Bangabandhu' slogans.
The situation became heated when some people in the vicinity reacted angrily after the incident. Upon receiving information, the police quickly reached the spot and rescued the person safely and took him to the police station.
Police said that the detained person is a resident of the Matiganj area of the upazila and is a pineapple trader by profession. He is currently being kept at the police station and the details of the incident are being investigated.
Officials of Srimangal police station said that no case has been filed in the incident so far. However, the situation is being monitored and necessary legal action will be taken.
It is worth noting that extensive preparations have been made in the area for Tarique Rahman's visit to Srimangal. Various social and public welfare activities are planned as part of the program.
