Actor James was stabbed to death at the age of 81 by his girlfriend's son

Hollywood veteran actor James Handy was stabbed to death in front of his home in Los Angeles, California, USA. The deceased actor was 81 years old. Police have arrested his girlfriend's 44-year-old son, Michael Gledhill, in the incident.
A BBC report on Friday (June 5) said that the police arrived at the scene after receiving a 911 call on the morning of the incident and rescued the actor in a serious condition. He was found with stab wounds to his chest. Doctors declared him dead after taking him to the hospital.
According to the police, the accused Michael Gledhill himself called the emergency number and reported that he had killed someone. Later, the police arrived and arrested him. Investigation revealed that he lived in the same house with the son and mother of the deceased actor's girlfriend.
However, the reason for the murder is still unclear. The police are continuing to investigate the matter.
Born in New York, James Handy has worked in film and television for almost six decades. He has starred in numerous popular projects in his long career.
He was known for playing supporting roles in many popular movies and series, including ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, ‘Jumanji’, ‘Logan’, ‘NCIS’, ‘Law & Order’, ‘CSI: New York’, ‘The West Wing’, and more.
His last film was the 2022 blockbuster movie ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, in which he played a small role.
Police said that a full investigation into the incident is underway and efforts are being made to uncover the motive behind the murder.
