The highly anticipated concert by the Pakistani band Kavish, previously postponed due to security concerns, is finally set to take place. After a wait of nearly ten months, the musical event will be held in Dhaka on September 26. Popular Bangladeshi bands Shironamhin and Meghdal will share the stage with Kavish at the concert.
On Saturday (September 12), the organizing firm Prime Wave Communication announced the new date for the concert on its official Facebook page. The event was originally titled "Wave Fest: Feel This Winter," but it has been renamed "Wave Fest: Enjoy the Full Moon."
Citing security considerations, the organizers have not yet disclosed the concert venue. They have confirmed, however, that those who purchased advance tickets for last year's event can use those same tickets to attend this one.
Additionally, sales for new tickets have commenced on the online platform Tickify. General tickets are priced at 2,999 Taka, while VIP tickets cost 5,499 Taka.
The concert featuring Kavish, Shironamhin, and Meghdal was originally scheduled for December 5 of last year in Dhaka. However, it was postponed at the last minute after the organizers failed to secure the necessary permissions, given the prevailing situation in the country at the time.
Since then, Kavish fans have eagerly awaited the concert. The announcement of the new date marks the end of that long wait.
Zafar Zaidi and Maaz Maudood formed the Pakistani band Kavish in 1998. The band performed in Bangladesh for the first time in January 2025, quickly gaining popularity among local listeners.
Some of Kavish's popular songs include "Bachpan," "Tere Pyar Mein," "More Saiyan," "Nindiya Re," and "Faasley." Alongside Kavish, Bangladeshi bands Meghdal and Shironamhin will also perform at this concert.
