The situation is such that the roof of the Taj Mahal is leaking water. Knee-deep water has accumulated in the garden of the Taj Mahal premises.
A video of the Taj Mahal premises has been circulating on social media since Thursday. In that 20-second video, a garden of the Taj Mahal has been submerged in water. Water and water all over the area. There is no shortage of enthusiastic tourists. Some people are keeping the scene again on their cell phones!
An Indian archeological official said that the main dome of the Taj Mahal was also damaged by the rain. There is water seeping through the roof. But he also said, there is no reason to worry. There was no major damage to the architecture.
The Taj Mahal is one of the world's heritage sites recognized by UNESCO. The construction of this Mughal architecture was completed in 1653. Countless tourists visit Agra every year.
