An expatriate Bangladeshi was killed in an airstrike in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut has confirmed this information. The name of the deceased Bangladeshi is Mohammad Nizam. According to his passport, his age is 31 years and 11 months. His father's name is Mohammad Abdul Quddus. Mother Moses. Anwara Begum. The house is in Kharera area of Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria district.
According to the Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut, Nizam was the victim of an airstrike on his way to work (while staying at a coffee shop) in the Hazmiye area of Beirut at 3:23 p.m. local time yesterday. He died on the spot.
According to diplomatic sources, Nizam's wife is in Lebanon. The embassy is in contact with him. He was informed that it would not be possible to send Nizam's body to Bangladesh due to non-availability of flights in the war situation.
