West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed concern over the recent situation in Bangladesh. In the assembly session on Monday, she urged the Indian government to propose sending UN peacekeepers.

Mamata said, "A proposal should be made to send UN peacekeepers to establish peace in Bangladesh. The Centre should talk to the UN on this issue. Prime Minister Narendra Modi or External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar should make a statement in Parliament on this."

Various BJP programs are going on in West Bengal to protest the 'torture' of minorities in Bangladesh and the 'arrest of monks'. Along with the blockade program on the border, protests by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad are also going on in Delhi.

Mamata alleged, "The Centre is silent on the situation in Bangladesh. We have not seen any reaction for the last 10 days. Yet their party is threatening."

Mamata also said that the state government will not tolerate it if Indians are attacked in Bangladesh. At the same time, she urged the Center to take immediate action on the issue.

After the discussion on the Waqf Bill, Mamata Banerjee said that the proposal to send peacekeepers to Bangladesh will be sent to the Center. She also said that the state will work on this issue as per the Center's instructions.
