The subcontinent has become tense after the Indian missile attack. The local government declared a state of emergency in Pakistan's Punjab province on Wednesday (May 7). All educational institutions have been closed. The readiness of hospitals and other emergency services has been increased. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced this decision at an emergency press conference.

She said, "The leave of all doctors and medical workers is being canceled and civil defense workers are being asked to return to their respective duties immediately."

India launched missile attacks on various areas of Pakistan on Tuesday (May 6) midnight. According to sources in Islamabad, at least 26 people were killed and more than 50 were injured in this attack by the Indian army.

In response, Pakistan has also launched counterattacks across the Line of Control. The situation is getting hotter, and surveillance has been increased along the border between the two countries.

Strongly condemning the Indian attack, Maryam Nawaz said, “The people have stood shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistani army. India may have started it, but we will finish it.”

There are fears that the diplomatic relations between the two countries may deteriorate further due to this incident. Many analysts have already expressed concern in the international community.
