Visa ban in UAE? Embassy opens up

Published: 06:18 24 September 2025
The Bangladesh Embassy in the UAE has said that the United Arab Emirates has not imposed any visa ban on Bangladeshis. The embassy told Middle East-based media outlet Gulf News on Wednesday (September 24) that the news regarding the visa ban is completely false and a rumor.
The embassy's official statement said that the fake news was recently spread from a visa processing website. But in reality, the UAE government has not imposed any visa ban on Bangladeshis. The UAE government has not made any announcement on the matter.
The embassy has also highlighted various inconsistencies in the website. They said that the website has given its address in Dubai, but its telephone number is registered in India. Apart from this, the website's registrar and technical contact are based in the UK and its registrar is based in the US. Even the address mentioned as an office on the website does not actually exist.
The embassy said that the website of the company from which this rumor was spread is internationally notorious for being unreliable and fraudulent.
The Bangladesh Embassy has urged all Bangladeshi citizens to be vigilant. They said that it is important not to be misled by such false news and to get information only from official and credible sources. At the same time, the media has been advised to properly verify any information before disseminating it.
