Change in tradition: Eid congregation in the Emirates, not in open fields, only in mosques

The United Arab Emirates has taken a major decision in the context of the ongoing tense situation in the Middle East. On the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, a ban has been issued on organizing congregations in open fields or Eidgahs in the country, which is being seen as a significant change in the long-standing tradition.
The country's General Authority of Islamic Affairs said that this time Eid prayers will be held only inside mosques. This decision was taken to avoid large gatherings in open places. As a result, worshippers across the country will have to go to mosques in their respective areas to offer prayers.
Traditionally, Eid congregations in the Emirates are held in open fields or Eidgahs, where a large number of people gather. However, in the current situation, the authorities have moved away from this arrangement to maintain public safety and order.
The concerned officials said that all mosques in the country have been prepared for Eid congregations and necessary measures have been taken to ensure the convenience of worshippers. At the same time, citizens have been urged to follow government guidelines and be vigilant in avoiding crowds.
According to analysts, this decision, taken due to the regional security situation, may indicate a change in the type of religious events in the future.
