Hezbollah fires 20 rockets at Israel

Tensions have flared up again in the Middle East amid a ceasefire. The armed group Hezbollah has launched multiple rocket attacks from Lebanon into northern Israel.
The group claims that its fighters fired rockets at the Metula, Kafar Giladi and Kiryat Shmona areas of Israel at around 8 am local time on Wednesday (April 15). They have described the attack as a response to the ongoing Israeli operation in Lebanon.
According to Israeli media reports, at least 20 rockets were fired from Lebanon into the Galilee region of northern Israel. Some of them were shot down by air defense systems, but the rest fell in open areas. During the attack, warning sirens sounded in various areas including Manara and Kiryat Shmona, causing panic among locals.
Meanwhile, although the ceasefire was supposed to be in effect, Israel did not stop its military operation. Israeli forces have intensified air and ground attacks in southern Lebanon since the March 2 border attack.
Lebanese health authorities say the ongoing conflict has killed at least 2,089 people and injured 6,762 others.
Analysts say Lebanon is not covered by the 14-day ceasefire announced between Iran and the United States. Israel's position is also clear: it says the ceasefire is only aimed at Iran and does not include Hezbollah or Lebanon.
The situation is becoming increasingly complex, and the threat of major clashes along the border is once again growing.
